I'm back.

I've decided to return to vegan blogging, inspired by Zoa http://airyway.blogspot.com/, who took a rather long hiatus but came back in full force! It's been about a year, I think, since I killed my old blog without warning. If you followed it and were annoyed, I'm sorry. I have to admit that I got really burnt out on trying to post every day + comment on other people's blogs every day.  My work schedule just doesn't permit that.  Plus, while I would say 99.999% of the comments were awesome and supportive, a very small minority kinda....well...ticked me off.  So I quit in a huff. What can I say, I'm a sensitive blogging artiste :).  So why am I back? I found that I missed the creative outlet. I sometimes post photos of meals on my facebook account, but very few of my facebook friends are vegan and they just don't "get it." Comments like "that would be awesome with pulled pork on top..." Yikes! At any rate, here I am again. It'll be a on a highly reduced blogging schedule relative to the old blog.  I reserve the right to disappear for weeks at a time. We'll see how it goes.

PS This explanation is not meant to imply that I think the vegan blogging community has been sobbing into its collective pillow over my absence. My blog was always a small operation. I did feel that an explanatory note was in order, in case any of the 9 people who used to read it come back :).

  3. Nice to see you back! I hope I wasn't one of the .001% that ticked you, if so I certainly didn't mean to. :D Looking forward to reading your posts again!

  4. Hell no, Rose. Missing chatting with you (and honestly, ALMOST everyone else) is another reason I wanted to refire up the ol' blog. All the people who regularly left comments were terrific. I shouldn't have let some of the more random comments piss me off so much but I did :(.

  5. Did you notice the difference between taking a blogging hiatus and actually deleting the blog itself?

  6. Shen, of course there's a difference, but I didn't think it would matter much to anybody. I enjoyed communicating with you via the Internerds then and probably would again, if you can get past your annoyance with me for deleting!

  7. I'm really glad you're back. I did, in fact, ask around when you up and left. I've regularly taken month long breaks from blogging. I always miss everyone, though, and find my way back. I think I really need this time with my vegan friends because I have some pork suggesting facebook friends, as well. As soon as I'm on my regular computer, I'll put you back on my blog roll.

  8. Thank you, Jenny! That is nice of you. I probably shouldn't have just deleted the old blog but I thought that if I didn't, I would feel compelled to keep checking it, updating it, commenting.....I clearly need to get some self-control! Anyhow, as soon as I have a few moments I'm going to make a new blog roll, and you will be on it!!!

  9. I did the same thing with facebook from last December to this summer. I deactivated it from time to time - but it's too easy to get back on, all you do is log back in. So I had to manually delete every friend, then deactivate so that I wouldn't keep getting back on there.
